About Us

Our beautiful nation, India, is known as one of the oldest habitations on the earth. A five thousand years old civilization treats the whole world as ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbkam’. A home of more than 1.33 billion people of different faiths and cultures, India has a unique colourful image on the world map. The love and affection of Indian people for each other was second to none until the 19th Century when divide and rule policy was adopted by the Britishers for Indians to strengthen themselves here. Although, our country got independence from the Britishers in 1947 the seed of divisive politics which they had sowed here had gradually developed into a poisonous plant and the routes of this plant spread over a large piece of land of the country by the time they left us, resulting enmity amongst the citizens of India followed by the division of the country in the name of religion.

Whatever would have been the result of the partition, the actual cost was paid by the nation. Once known as the ‘Golden Bird’, post-independence, it had poverty as the biggest challenge before it. Though over the last seventy years, the nation has transformed from a poor economy into a developing nation, still we have many problems before us such as a large number of our countrymen living below the poverty line, lack of access to affordable healthcare to lower-middle and middle-class people, lack of access to quality education, free and affordable higher educational institutes etc. In recent years, rapid industrialization and climate change have posed an environmental threat before the current and future generations. All these issues require immediate attention.

All the previous governments and the current government of union and states are trying hard for the socio-economic development of the people and the nation together but the big population and limited resources have put a hindrance in realizing the plans cent percent.

A nation is made of people. Therefore, the government and the people are altogether responsible for the development of any nation. If the governments are facing difficulties in making things happen, it is the responsibility of the citizens of the country to come forward and play their role with the governments to make things happen for the betterment of their fellow countrymen and the nation on the principle of public-private partnership. If only ten percent of the total population of India comes on a common platform and joins hands for nation-building, we can share the burden of all the needy, hungry, and poor people. However, the task of bringing the people on a common platform is not only difficult but challenging too. It requires high-level planning, perfect execution, and an all-around contribution from society.

For this purpose, we have formed the Association of Mankind Lovers or in short Amal Foundation. It is a Trust registered under Indian Trust Act 1882.

We believe that if work together and selflessly we would be able to deal with the challenges of providing food to the hungry, shelter to the homeless, education to the illiterate and affordable healthcare service to all in the coming time, thus, helping the country in becoming and developed.  The inter-community coordination will not only bring the different communities closer but it would also eradicate enmity between the communities and would develop a bond of love and affection between them once again.
